World Rainbow Dog Day is a day of action for queer dog people and their allies . It will take place for the first time on June 11, 2025, as part of Pride Month —initiated by the diverse dog community DOGREBELS .

The aim is to create visibility , strengthen queer perspectives in the dog world and draw attention to the challenges that diversity dog owners face in their everyday lives.

Whether at the dog park, in a club or at dog school : discrimination, a lack of safe spaces and the desire for more community are issues that affect many people – and that is exactly what we are setting an example for.

World Rainbow Dog Day celebrates the unconditional love of our dogsand the people who meet them every day with pride and diversity.

More security for connectedness

#1 Increase visibility

LGBTQ+ dog owners are a natural part of the dog world—but often overlooked. With World Rainbow Dog Day, we highlight queer perspectives and give a platform to all those who are far too often invisible in everyday life.

#2 Access to offers

LGBTQ+ dog owners are a natural part of the dog world—but often overlooked. With World Rainbow Dog Day, we highlight queer perspectives and give a platform to all those who are far too often invisible in everyday life.

#3 Community Empowerment

World Rainbow Dog Day brings people together. It's meant to encourage, connect, and show: You are not alone. Together, we're creating a community where dog lovers empower each other—on two and four paws.

#4 Exclusion of the dog scene

Unfortunately, prejudices still exist in dog training schools, clubs, and dog parks. We talk openly about experiences of discrimination – and about how we can work together to create a respectful and diverse canine world.

Welcome to Dogrebels Magazine – your place for queer perspectives on dogs, community, and animal welfare.

Here you will find stories, tips and thoughts that celebrate diversity and strengthen our community.

Whether it’s testimonials, interviews, or practical advice – we share what moves us.
