World Rainbow Dog Day: Cologne initiative sets an example for queer dog lovers
A newly founded Cologne-based initiative called "DogRebels" aims to establish June 11 as World Rainbow Dog Day, as queer.de reports. The goal: to raise the profile of queer dog owners and celebrate the canine community as a place of diversity.

First World Rainbow Dog Day: Cologne. On June 11, the first "World Rainbow Dog Day" will take place, a new day of action for LGBTQIA+ dog owners and their allies. The young initiative 'DOGREBELS' is launching this day as part of Pride Month to increase the visibility of queer people in the dog world and raise awareness of the importance of safe spaces for encounters.

June 11th is to be Rainbow Dog Day
There is currently no day for queer people who walk their dogs daily. The "DogRebels" want to change that. The "DogRebels" initiative, a group of queer dog lovers founded this year in Cologne, has launched a social media campaign to establish June 11 as World Rainbow Dog Day. The goal is to "make queer dog people visible" – and to set an example for diversity, safety, and solidarity.
